Silent Movement - Our gap year travelling the inland waterways

Beautiful Morning

This morning we walked back into Leighton Buzzard, it was good to see the water level had dropped and there was no flow today, much better conditions than yesterday.  And the sites where the towpath was flooded were now clear, but quite a bit of damage had occurred on one patch.
It was very cold last night and this morning was frosty and beautiful.

By the time we pulled pins to set off, the skies were not quite so clear, and there was a bit of rain in the air.

First lock was Church Grove lock with the tiny church just over the wall.  It is now converted to a home.
a not so temporary sign!

At Slapton lock I was able to pick a few sprigs of rosemary from the herb garden for boaters, what a lovely thought.

At Horton lock the sun was struggling to come through once again, but it was getting cold.
Through the Ivinghoe locks and then we found somewhere to tie up as there were very heavy black clouds heading our way.

4.5 miles, 5 locks
